Fire Roasted Hatch Chiles Green Sauce Recipe (Approx. 6 Servings)

3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 cups Diced white onion
3 cloves Garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
3 cups Tomatillos, husked and chopped
2 cups Fire Roasted Hatch Chiles, peeled, seeded, stemless
1 cup Chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon Salt
1 tablespoon Chicken Bouillon
¼ teaspoon Grounded cumin
3 cups Water

 

Green Hatch Chiles Chilaquiles Recipe (1 Serving)

Quantities Ingredients
6 ounces Chips
1 cup Fire Roasted Hatch Chiles Green Sauce
¼ cup Fresh cheese, crumbled
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 each Eggs
4 tablespoons Fire roasted hatch chiles, diced
1 tablespoon Cilantro, chopped

 

Preparation

Fire Roasted Hatch Chiles Green Sauce Recipe (Approx. 6 Servings)

Method of Preparation: (Watch the Video)

  1. Heat oil, add garlic and onions at moderate heat and cook until onions are translucent.
  2. Add flour and mix well.
  3. Add tomatillos, hatch chiles, cilantro, salt, chicken bouillon, cumin, and water, mix well and cook until tomatillos are tender.
  4. Pull from heat and let it chill.
  5. Place into blender and blend until chunky puree.
  6. Refrigerate for a minimum of 10 minutes before blending.
  7. Sauce can be refrigerated for a maximum of 4 days before using.

 

Green Hatch Chiles Chilaquiles Recipe (1 Serving)

Method of Preparation:

  1. Place chips into pan.
  2. Add fire roasted hatch chiles green sauce, mix well until all are fully incorporated and hot.
  3. Pull from heat and place chilaquiles into plate.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled fresh cheese over chilaquiles.
  5. Heat oil, add eggs and cook as desire.
  6. Place cooked eggs on top of chilaquiles.
  7. Sprinkle diced fire roasted hatch chiles and cilantro over chilaquiles and eggs.
