Reports To: Security Operations Center & Data Analytics Manager | Asset Protection & Security
Job Description
Position Overview
The Security Operations Center Operator(SOC) Operator, under the direction of the SOC Manager, is responsible for incident response and assists in internal/ external investigations and video downloads as needed.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Report all emergency and non-emergency incidents to Manager and proactively respond to any emergency and non-emergency incidents, according to SOC Procedure
• Assist Asset Protection & Security Field Operations Team with internal/ external investigation, and audits as needed
• Safekeep all equipment and report any faulty or missing equipment
• Remote surveillance of overnight security monitoring and dispatch overnight security patrol as needed such as after hours emergency assistance for overnight team members
• Video verification and retention of Risk Management, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Human Resources, investigations, Law Enforcement investigation requests, internal and external incidents. Upload video files for case management system
• Audits, such as but not limited to, of safety, security, dishonesty, working off the clock, and food portion control
• First to be notified, respond, and able to view live surveillance for alarm calls. Cancel and dispatch law enforcement and fire department after video verification of incidents. Request service for burglar alarm activations related to system failure
• Provide emergency access to stores to remotely arm and disarm alarms, issue temporary alarm codes, manage access to buildings with knock boxes, and access for overnight services and maintenance
• Monitoring external storage rooms to contact law enforcement for any incidents
• Business continuation response for civil unrest, natural disaster, power outage, and emergency notifications
Requirements:
• Strong motivational, initiative, observative skills
• Promoting a positive, desirable and safe atmosphere within the stores, warehouses, offices and properties
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively to diverse individuals and groups
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent
• Prior Video Surveillance and Investigative Experience preferable
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
• This is a non-exempt level position; schedule would be based on business necessity and coordinated through the reporting Manager
• Available to a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Open to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays

- Thermal or other Health-Related Information. If you apply in-person or come to our store(s) as part of the application process, we may need to take your temperature or other similar information as part of our health protection policies. However, this information is not retained.
- Inferences. We gather information about your employment history with Vallarta, such as the company location/facility to which you are assigned, position and description of duties, fulltime and part-time status, pay rate, as well as descriptions about your job performance and skills. We may also draw other inferences such as your characteristics, job preferences, personal hobbies, activities, foreign language capabilities, other abilities and the like.
- Purposes for Collection of Your Personal Information
- We use the above categories of personal information for the following business purpose(s):
- To make recruitment and employment decisions, including assessing your application and qualifications for employment with us.
- To conduct and verify background checks (where applicable).
- If hired, to facilitate onboarding, payroll, benefit, and leave of absence administration
