Vallarta Supermarkets Expands in Modesto with Second Location Opening August 27

Vallarta Supermarkets is excited to announce the grand opening of its second Modesto location on August 27, located at 2401 E. Orangeburg Ave. This new store builds on the strong community response to our first Modesto location, which opened earlier this year at 3900 Pelandale Ave. and created 227 jobs.

Our newest store will add 194 more jobs to the Modesto community while introducing a refreshed in-store design and expanded features. The layout offers open views into many departments, giving customers the chance to watch the food-making process — from masa prepared in traditional nixtamal tanks to custom cake decorating and fresh ceviche preparation.

The modern store design is infused with colorful, textured finishes that reflect Mexican and Latin food culture, creating an inviting space where shoppers can explore, discover, and enjoy.

Signature Departments and Experiences

The new Vallarta location will feature all of our signature departments, including:

• Fresh Produce – Locally grown and globally sourced produce, including organic and ethically farmed options at competitive prices.

• Carnicería – Premium cuts such as Ranchera steak, available unseasoned or marinated in Vallarta’s signature spice blend.

• Pescadería – Fresh and frozen seafood from around the world, plus a Cevichería with 12 varieties of freshly made ceviches and spicy aquachiles.

• Omari Sushi – Hand-rolled daily by master sushi chefs.

• Guacamole Station – Made to order with 100% Hass avocados and fresh ingredients.

• Juicebar – Signature aguas frescas, fresh-pressed juices, and wellness shots.

• La Frutería – Fresh fruit bowls topped with Tajín, Chamoy, lime juice, and salt.

• Cremería – Authentic cheeses like queso fresco, queso Oaxaca, and cotija, plus fresh cremas.

• Panadería – Latin American baked goods, signature sweets, and hand-decorated cakes.

• Tortillería – Fresh corn and flour tortillas made in-house from start to finish.

• La Cocina – Traditional favorites from Mexico and Central America for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• Dulcería – Authentic candies, piñatas, lotería, and traditional décor.

• El Jardín – Floral arrangements from local growers and potted plants.

Commitment to the Community

In celebration of the opening, Vallarta Supermarkets will donate $7,500 to local charities and schools in the Modesto area. The first 300 customers will receive a reusable grocery bag filled with groceries as a thank-you for joining the festivities.
