Vallarta Supermarkets gives back the the Hispanic Community for Hispanic Heritage Month

In 2023, Vallarta Supermarkets proudly demonstrated its unwavering commitment to its community by providing a significant boost to educational aspirations and supporting organizations that uplift the Hispanic community. Through their dedicated efforts, Vallarta Supermarkets awarded a total of $200,000 in college scholarships to 64 of its team members, enabling them to pursue higher education. In addition to this remarkable investment in education, Vallarta Supermarkets also donated a generous sum of $20,000 to nonprofit organizations, DIY Girls and Chicas Moms whose programs aim to inspire and support young girls so that they can have opportunities for growth and enrichment.  These endeavors underscore Vallarta Supermarkets’ commitment as a socially responsible corporate entity, emphasizing their dedication to fostering positive impacts and opening doors of opportunity for its community and beyond.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Vallarta Supermarkets takes pride in contributing a total of $20,000 to support two charitable organizations dedicated to giving back to the community.

Chicas Mom is a non-profit organization that empowers Latinas and enhances the San Fernando Valley community by providing Spanish-language educational workshops, seminars, social events, and food and clothing drives. These initiatives are facilitated by a passionate group of volunteers and have demonstrated the capacity to transform lives.

DIY Girls is committed to fostering interest and long-term success in technology, engineering, and creative making among girls and gender-expansive youth. Their programs cater to students in grades 5 through 12, primarily in the Northeast San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. These programs aim to inspire and support young girls so that they can actively participate in this evolving movement and future economy.
