Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Designs and develops ad hoc reports and new reporting techniques using multiple reporting
systems to generate potential case leads and identify new types of dishonest activity.
• Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting
strategic plans for growth and implementing this growth in the department.
• Manage projects to establish exception management structures and principles geared towards
various exception-based reporting applications.
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with other departments.
• Recommends exception-based reporting strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating
organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Performs analysis, identifying dishonest employees and theft activity through the use of
exception-based reporting.
• Works closely with Investigators, Auditors and APDM’s to facilitate investigations of
theft,
policy violations, and/or criminal activity.
• Initiates case leads and provides actionable data and offer investigative support to drive
successful case closures by using investigative resources and related technologies as directed.
• Creates and develops training plans for Asset Protection Data Programs
• Performs other responsibilities, functions and/or projects as requested.
• Provides statistical reporting.
• Analyzes shrink data across stores, departments, and time periods to identify root causes,
trends, and high-risk areas impacting the Shrink Management Program.
• Develops and maintains shrink dashboards and analytical reports to monitor program
effectiveness, measure loss reduction initiatives, and support data-driven decision making.
• Partners with Asset Protection leadership and Shrink Management Committee members to evaluate
shrink performance metrics and recommend corrective actions based on analytical findings.
• Utilizes exception-based reporting to proactively identify shrink drivers and support continuous
improvement of the Shrink Management Program.

• The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Initiative-taking to be successful in a demanding environment with minimal supervision.

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience

• Prior exception-based reporting experience
• Advanced Expert Microsoft Excel
• At least 3 – 5 years of experience as Data Analyst
Physical Demands
Will be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. May also
have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Ability to lift to 30
lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt level position, The work schedule may change based on business needs;
therefore, flexibility in daily hours and days worked is required, including weekends. Standard
schedule is Monday – Friday; 8am-5pm. Some travel required (10%), including overnight stays, across
all Vallarta store locations. Mileage reimbursement program for approved business travel.

  1. Information We Collect about Applicants

  1. Biometric Information. We may collect your fingerprints to facilitate the employment relationship, if you are hired, and required as part of the hiring/employment process.

Depending on your role/duties with the Company, we may collect information regarding your criminal history, driving history, and credit history as part of our employment background check. We also collect information regarding your professional and employment history and other qualifications you provide in your employment application, including references, skills/abilities, employment goals and expectations, and other related information (if you choose to provide them).
  1. Education Information. We collect information regarding your professional and education history to the extent provided in your resume/application.
  1. Thermal or other Health-Related Information. If you apply in-person or come to our worksite(s) as part of the application process, we may need to take your temperature or other similar information as part of our health protection policies. However, this information is not retained, and will only be obtained if required by law.
  1. Additional Information.  We may gather information about your potential employment with the Company, such as the company location/facility to which you are assigned, position and description of duties, fulltime and part-time status, pay rate, as well as descriptions about your job performance and skills.

We use the above categories of personal information for the following business purpose(s):
