Position Summary

The Price Error Correction Specialist is responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving pricing discrepancies to ensure cost accuracy across stores and vendor invoices. This role supports pricing integrity by verifying invoice data, correcting system pricing errors, and coordinating with vendors, stores, and internal teams. The position operates within the Pricing department at headquarters and plays a key role in maintaining accurate pricing and supporting efficient store operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify receipt of vendor and store invoices, including weekend invoices, and identify cost discrepancies.
  • Process interdepartmental envelopes, emails, and scanned documents containing vendor error forms.
  • Correct inaccurate pricing in the BR Data system, including vendor-related and receiving errors.
  • Research, validate, and resolve pricing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing discrepancies and support issue resolution.
  • Notify stores and internal teams of pricing discrepancies and provide updates as needed.
  • Partner with buyers to resolve complex or recurring pricing issues.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute vendor financial penalty letters for non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with scan coordinators, accounting, receivers, and vendors to resolve pricing-related issues.
  • Generate, track, and maintain documentation for vendor bill backs, including providing supporting backup.
  • Assist in creating, editing, verifying, and distributing monthly TPRs (Temporary Price Reductions).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and broker contact information.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the department as needed.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of the BR Data pricing system preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on pricing accuracy and discrepancy resolution.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong work performance in current or previous roles.
  • Experience in grocery retail, pricing, accounting, or administrative support preferred
  • Expected Hours of Work
  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
  • Office-based role; no travel required.

Physical Demands

  • Primarily an office-based position requiring prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and computer use.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs. (e.g., files, documents).

This is a non-exempt position requiring attention to detail, operational execution, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in support of leadership and cross-functional teams. The role supports business needs during standard business hours and may include additional tasks as directed to fulfill organizational goals.

We may collect your emergency contact information as well. If you are hired, we may collect additional personal identifiers about you to facilitate the employment relationship.
  1. Characteristics of Protected Classifications under California or Federal law. We may collect your age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, sex/gender, and marital status.
  1. Biometric Information. We may collect your fingerprints to facilitate the employment relationship, if you are hired, and required as part of the hiring/employment process.
  1. Professional or Employment-Related Information. Depending on your role/duties with the Company, we may collect information regarding your criminal history, driving history, and credit history as part of our employment background check. We also collect information regarding your professional and employment history and other qualifications you provide in your employment application, including references, skills/abilities, employment goals and expectations, and other related information (if you choose to provide them).
  1. Education Information. We collect information regarding your professional and education history to the extent provided in your resume/application.
  1. Thermal or other Health-Related Information. If you apply in-person or come to our worksite(s) as part of the application process, we may need to take your temperature or other similar information as part of our health protection policies. However, this information is not retained, and will only be obtained if required by law.
  1. Additional Information.  We may gather information about your potential employment with the Company, such as the company location/facility to which you are assigned, position and description of duties, fulltime and part-time status, pay rate, as well as descriptions about your job performance and skills. 
  1. Purposes for Collection of Your Personal Information

We use the above categories of personal information for the following business purpose(s):
