Ingredients
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup of milk1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of strawberries (pureed or chopped, depending on preference)
2 cups of heavy whipping cream
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Gold Oreos (crushed)
Strawberry Jello (prepared as per the package)
Melted butter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Follow the box instructions for the cake mix but substitute the water with milk.
Pour the cake batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely.In a bowl, mixthe milk,the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and pureedstrawberries. Stir until well combined.
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaksform.
Once the cake is completely cooled, poke small holes all over the cake using a fork orskewer.
Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cake, allowing it to absorb.
Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake.
