Position: Refrigeration Technician
Department: Maintenance
Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor
Status: Hourly, non-Exempt

General knowledge and expectations
• Previous 2 years Field Service experience
• Good understanding of basic electricity
• EPA certification recommended
• Refrigerant experience/knowledge is valuable
• Strong Technical Skills and Troubleshooting ability
• Ability to lift 50+lbs
• Mechanically Inclined and knowledge of hand tools
• Good understanding of mechanical functions and logic
• Read schematics and follow directions
• Former home appliance installation/repair or related field
• Basic computer skills knowledge
• Certification from Trade School for refrigeration/electricity or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish to offer excellent customer service

Job Duties
• Will report to various store locations to address various refrigeration problems
• Must communicate with corporate and store level management to coordinate fixing refrigeration problems
• Document start and end of Work Orders and detail what work was completed
• Maintain control over equipment/tools and inventory the equipment used per work shift
• Plan work load and coordinate picking up required equipment parts to complete the Work Order
• Complete Expense Reports within a timely fashion (typically within a month)
• Review weekly open projects with Maintenance team to coordinate priorities
• Review ongoing Preventative Maintenance for machinery
• Basic handyman tasks will also be assigned as needed throughout the work shift
Driving Requirements
• Valid State issued Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Reliable Transportation to and from work (might be issued a company vehicle)

• Ability to handle potential stressful situations
• Work well independently or in a team environment

Physical Requirements:
• Work in mechanical rooms (compressors, coils) with varying temperatures
• Work in confined areas, crawl spaces, attics, under machinery
• Work in dirty areas
• Climb up and down ladders
• Squat, bend, stoop
• Work above shoulder level
• Lift/Carry 50+ lbs
• Fine hand grasping
